Definition of Add On No fault laws

Add On No fault laws can be defined as an extension of the no- fault insurance policy which allows it’s claimants to pursue a tort liability claim against another driver apart other applicable claims.

Brief Explanation of Add On No fault laws

The Add On fault insurance is offered in several states and is considerably less restrictive on the issue of torts than pure no -fault insurance. During a road accident the No fault laws allow the drivers who are directly involved in the accident to file a liability claim against the driver who was at fault and resulted in the damages incurred during the accident. Any damage to the vehicle or the injuries’ suffered by the driver in the course of the incident are liable for the claim. In order to counter the costly charges of settling the insurance claims before the 1970’s these laws were put in effect. This prevented the drivers involved from filing a law suit against the guilty party and allowed the claimants’ to be compensated for the damage’s through insurance companies. Hence the no fault laws saved time and effort spent on legal proceedings’ of the accidents.
